【感 想】
晴れの予報で気温も高くなるので、予定より少し早い時間からスタートしました。渡渉箇所では水嵩が増していて靴を脱いで渡ろうかと思うくらいでしたが、なんとか渡る事が出来ました。第2吊橋を渡ってから、ずっと登りが続きます。暑さで汗だくになり、水分補給に気を付けながら歩きました。阿部さんがペース配分をゆっくりしてくれたので、あまりキツさを感じずに天狗岩分岐まで登れました。天狗岩付近からは霧がかかっていて、暑さが少し和らぎました。天狗岩に寄って、祖母山山頂へ。あいにく山頂はガスがかかっていて、景色は見えませんでした。9合目小屋で昼食を取り、お目当てのオオヤマレンゲを見に行きました。白い花があちこちに咲いていました。モクレン科らしいのですが、森の貴婦人と言われる通り、可憐で花の匂いもいい香りです。 予想以上に咲いていたので、オオヤマレンゲを見るなら祖母山に行くべきだなと思いました。下山で第1吊橋が通行止めで迂回路が出来ていたのですが、迂回路に行く分岐になぜだかロープが張られていて迷いました。梅雨時期に咲くので、天気次第ですが、また来年も祖母山にオオヤマレンゲを見に行きたいです。
