天候が不安定なこの季節、直前まで心配をしていましたが、雨になることはなく、予定通り行うことができたことに感謝しています。
今回、計画していた莇ヶ岳から弟見山への縦走コースでは、莇ヶ岳では鎖場が、弟見山では、この時期ならではの「ササユリ」が私たちを楽しませてくれるだろうと期待した山行でした。
莇ヶ岳の山頂には小さな祠があったのですが、何でも石鎚神社の分祠だそうで、蔵王権現金銅仏が祭られているとか。なるほど、どおりで石鎚山と同様に鎖場が３か所、設けられているのだと納得しました。ネットで事前に鎖場の他に巻き道があることを把握していた私。極度の怖がりのため、迷わず巻き道を選択しました。
この鎖場コースと巻き道コースは分岐が分かりやすく、鎖場から巻き道にも容易に戻りやすいこともネットで把握できていたので、分岐で別れ、山頂で合流することにしました。山頂に先述の石鎚神社の分祠があるのです。分祠の他にベンチも整備されていて、一休みするのに、ものすごくありがたかったです。
莇ヶ岳山頂から弟見山まで、お昼は取らずに縦走したのですが、思ったよりアップダウンが続き、蒸し暑さで体力を消耗、お腹ペコペコとなりました。ただ、このルートでは念願の「ササユリ」の大輪が私たちの目を楽しませてくれました。おかげで空腹を多少ごまかせたような気がします。
「ササユリ」はもっと一面にワーッと咲き誇っているものと想像していましたが、登山道に白や淡いピンク色をして可憐な姿で佇んでいました。ちなみに「ササユリ」って日本固有の花なのだそうです。
下山後は、たっぷりかいた汗を流すため願成就温泉へ。バスを少し走らせたところで突然バケツをひっくり返したような雨が降り出し、山行中でなくて良かったと、つくづく感謝したものです。
【感想文】
ササユリ見たさに、莇ヶ岳～弟見山山行に参加してきました。最初から急登が始まり、汗はダラダラです。
とにもかくにも暑い暑い！気持ちがへこみかけた時、駐車場でお会いした地元の方から、「イチヤクソウとトンボソウが咲いているはずだから、教えてあげるよ」と、声かけられました。イチヤクソウは2株咲いていましたが、トンボソウはまだでした。トンボソウの咲く場所に棒で、印していただいたそうですが、登りに必死で、スルーしてしまいました。鎖場の分岐で2班に分かれ、私は即、巻道を選択して、山頂へ。360度の展望と斜面のササユリに癒されます。弟見山縦走路は、展望はありませんが、ブナ林の地味なアップダウンの繰り返しです。
山頂で遅い昼食を食べた後、仏峠に向かって下山しました。バスが見えたときは、ほっとしました。この山は、4回目でしたが仏峠の尾根道は初めてでした。ササユリもたくさん見られ大満足の山行でした。
下山後のリーダーからの、差し入れの冷たいジユースは、五臓六腑に染み渡る〈大げさかな〉一気飲みでした。ありがとうございました。
