8：55に千石荘から登り始める。坊主沢源流に行く道に下る。沢を渡ってすぐの尾根を登りあがる。（勝手につけた名前 第１尾根）最初は木をつかみながら登る急登。その後、気持ちのいい尾根道になる。最後に急登を登って笹が出てきたら稜線はもうすぐ。笹の中を頑張って登るとブナ林の稜線にポンと出る。いつもながら一般道に出るときは気持ちがいい。 すごい強風と寒さだった。手がかじかむ。ゆっくり登ったので約3時間かかった。その後は、金山山頂で昼食をとる。強風と寒さもあり、美紀尾根は宿題として通常ルートを千石荘登山口まで下る。13：55着。
